Remington 700 gunsmith

I am looking for a gunsmith in the Indiana or surrounding area. I would like to re-barrel the 700 I currently have. Any recommendations? Thanks

Gary Growe in Columbus, IN. is an excellant 700 and 1911 gunsmith and machinist. He does tactical, benchrest, and everything else. He did my trigger job ($30) and a tactical bolt knob ($45). He doesn't always work regular business hours so call him before showing up. His place is on SR-46, just as you leave Columbus. Less than 1 mile off I65 exit 68. Call him at 812-342-6079

I too have been looking for a smith to replace a Sendero 270 barrel with a 30-06 tube but gave up. I spoke with 2 and the prices they quoted for the work was so high that I could have just bought another rifle. The 270 sits all alone in my safe until I find a buyer for it.

Yes, he trued the action and replaced the barrel on my Remington 700 earlier this year.
