Was moving some things between the safes and decided it's time for someone else to get some enjoyment from this one.
It's an unfired, with the original box, Remington 700 Long Range in 30-06 Springfield. It has a heavy barrel profile and is 26" long. Comes in an aluminum pillared Bell & Carlson M40 stock.
I bought this when they were first introduced, maybe around 2014 or 2015. It's been stored in Sack-Ups gun socks the entire time and is flawless, not a nick or scratch on it.
I had the barrel threaded (5/8-24) by Accurate Ordnance in Georgia and had them "time" the threads so the Gemtech muzzle brake/mount was perfectly oriented ($300 mount/machining)
I added a 20 MOA cant scope base (I usually use Ken Farrell bases, so that's what I think it is for now) and mounted a Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 illuminated Front Focal Plane with the EBR-2C reticle mounted in Burris signature rings. I bedded the scope base to the action also.
The next thing I was going to have done to it was have the stock inlet for detachable bottom metal. I have a PTG bottom metal and 2 long action Magpul AICS style mags that I'll include as well. * It will not fit the stock until the stock is machined for it.
With everything, I'm looking to get $2,550. Now $2,450 (A NIB rifle only sold on Gunbroker for $1,400)
I'll keep the scope and rings and knock the price down to $1,800 Now $1,700
I can also try to get the brake off (no thread protector was made or included and I'm not certain if Accurate Ordnance used Rocksett on it) and do $1,700 Now $1,600
Also keeping the scope base and detachable bottom metal and magazines, I'll do $1,400. Now $1,300
Located near Seymour and willing to travel around a half hour.
