What is the point that the protesters are trying to make by repeating the words in response fashion during any speeches?
I don't get it. It takes too long, gets too boring, and if they ever might have a "point" in there somewhere...who would know? The vid has LONG since been closed out!
Not to mention, it just seems creepy!
    So what's their objective?

Read The Crowd: A Study of the Popular Mind by Gustave Le Bon.

Ann Coulter's new book Demonic relies heavily upon it.

To understand mob behavior is to understand politics.

:dunno: Got me... It's almost as though the protesters feel that if they draw it (speeches) out long enough they'll have some sort of dramatic effect. I stop watching a vid as soon as they start that crap. There's almost know way to follow it.

Not that I disagree with any of the above, but a possible reason for doing this is to ensure that people outside the range of the original speaker can hear what's being said. It is definitely creepy, though.

What video are you guys seeing? OP has no video in it?

Just about ANY of them concerning speeches or "special speakers" at the protest locations across the country...but the one that tipped the scales for me was this one:

Actually, Blackhawk hit it right on the head. They do this because, in many areas, the use of loudspeakers is illegal. So, to get around this they pass it on, so people farther back in the crowd get to hear what's being said. Yeah, it's tedious, but it seems to work for them and it gets them around the asinine laws that forbid using speakers or bull horns.

What about when the speaker has a loudspeaker? The first one I saw did.

It's a brain disconnect. If they get you to repeat it, they get your brain to remember it, and it becomes a routine thought. People do the same thing when they're trying to memorize books, practice speeches etc: they're trying to speak and remember without having to put all their energy into doing so. In the case of a large group of people, it's also a convenient way to bypass your natural Bullcrapometer and get you to repeat/memorize things that are simply unsound logically.

Since they obviously can't dazzle anyone with brilliance, they must rely on baffling by using bull$hit. They never make a point because they don't have a point to make. They can't offer solutions to that which they protest because they don't understand the fundamentals of what they are protesting, so they babble on and on and on.
