Interesting thread over on 300bkltalk.com. It leads to one of the members own blog posts. Links below. I have yet to pursue this myself, but have the components on hand.

Wonder if INGOers have a pet load that mimics the popular Barnes VOR-TX hunting round?

I called it a hunting round, as do Barnes, but they also reference it's defensive applications.

I'd be interested in working up a load like this if I could find some of those bullets. I just got into 300 blackout reloading and have been working with 125gr SST and 220 Berry plated subs. Using H110 for supers and IMR4198 for subs but I'm tempted to just used H110 for everything

In March 2019 I started loading 300BO. For a hunting load, I am using the Tac-TX bullets. I decided to try Lil Gun because I had it. I am using CCI 400s. I made loads of 18, 18.5 and 19 gr with OAL at 2.250". I ended up going with 18.5 gr for my load. I averaged 2225fps. I only gained 25 fps with 19 gr and I had a tighter group at 18.5 gr. The gun is a PSA AR pistol with 10.5" barrel. I am not for sure what barrel length Barnes or the guy above used, but I felt that my loads were pretty close. I never had any factory ammo to compare. I had intentions to go back again and fine tune, but I feel pretty good with what I have.
