I have been inside enough budget 1911's to stand behind my choice to never own one.
As with anything you can an might get a decent one. They put enough of them out there so someone has got to like them.

    Which Springfield do you have...???

Springfield Loaded SS .45 Just got back from the range, shot about 300 reloads through the 9mm RIA Target. The accuracy was excellent. Trigger broke in some, better trigger than my Tanfoglio Match. Will it out last may Tannfoglio, probably not. The RIA internals look a little rough. I'll change the grips and shoot it till breaks. It'll probably see about 6,000 rounds a year.

Out of the box triggers on Tanfo's and CZ's can be a bit rough but the CZ's will smooth out with rounds.
Not enough experience with the Tanfo's as yet.
Almost bought a 10mm a while back but passed. Buddy picked it up and I have enjoyed running it.

The Tanfoglio is a Match Elite. It single action only, pre travel and over travel adjustable and very light and smooth. I've also got one of the old Series 88 and it's a little rough, even in single action but very accurate.

And the Para mags do work in the RIA made by Mec-Gar, I just tested three today
