Richards Gun Stocks for Mosin

I ordered one of the Richards stock Monday in Black Widow color with the 1/2 Butt Pad for the Mosin I bought from Beech Grove Firearms, the goal is to set it up like the Blue one below.

I looked up the finishing procedure on YOUTUBE, it seems pretty simple.

Is there a lot of hand fitting on these in terms of filing the holes etc?

I keep eyeing the Mosin as well, especially after searching for them on Budsguns, that stock looks awesome in red.

I have looked at them for my project Mosins. They are a little pricey. Almost to the point of getting myself a chunk of maple some wood rasps, a couple chisels and seeing what I can do. Now just to find the time.
