Grew up watching David star in movies and TV. Great actor, loved his personna of Ducky Mallard, and was there for Gibbs always.
Condolences to his family and friends.

I remember him mostly from The Great Escape movie and of course the Man From U.N.C.L.E. series with Robert Vaugn, both of which were mentioned before. Never did watch NCIS so that's all I remember him from. Enjoyed what I saw of him in those two roles. RIP.

Wow, really? He looks damn near the same as in the great escape, just a bit older but still immediately recognizable as the Lt. Cmdr in The Great Escape.

He was still in one of the recent NCIS episodes and I wondered how much longer he had. His dialogue was a bit slurred in the last episode I saw and knew the end was near.

90 years, I'm sure he had a good life being in motion pictures. Few of us will ever be so lucky.
