Quite a few threads on the RIA pistols here, you'll get opinions going both ways. Personally I own 2 , both are the original Tactical model, one in .45 and one in 9mm. Both have been great.

I have one in 10mm and so far it has been a good shooter. Only have 100 rounds down the pipe so it's still getting broke in.

Don't know anything about the RIA but love the 10mm. Have an EAA, S&W 1006, and my edc an STI 2011 Perfect 10 with a 6" barrel.

Like most all ria's , you will probably need to do some tuning to get a new to run well. Nothing big, polishing or possibly reshaping the feed ramp, mine had a large bur inside the spring plug that needed addressed, and as always a wilson combat spring kit is a great investment.

RI is a hit or miss deal. Never had one of their 10mm's, but currently own a Citadel 1911 in 9mm that is smooth as silk with a trigger that is 2nd to none! Had a 45 that was okay,, but just okay. Roll of the dice.

I'm pretty happy with my RIA 10mm. I've had it since Christmas and have a few hundred rounds through it. I wanted a 10mm and I could have gotten something much nicer. But as much as 10mm ammo costs I thought I could buy a lot of ammo for the extra $500 I would have spent on something else. Maybe I rolled the dice but I think I came out ahead. Fit and finsh is decent. And it shoots well.
