I bought a RIA in 9mm and wondered if there is any information/problem running high pressure loads. I like the weapon as it sits regardless if I need to limit the ammo choice(s). I know that in some other weapons the torque on the slide can be harmful. I welcome any thoughts.

Well I thought that the natural pointing of the 1911 style and the beefy slide should handle the +p loads ok. I hope the action holds up and is not ammo sensitive.

I would think you would be fine with normal recoil springs.

Also, is it a 4" or 5" RIA, I'm thinking about picking up one as a plinker, but haven't decided (9mm that is)
