    Quote from article:
"The soldiers lacking beards had a higher rate of weapons malfunctions and basically, sh*t went wrong most of the time."

    Is this a joke?

The Duffel Blog is an interesting and funny look at military life. We focus on veterans, military stories, defense, politics (sometimes) and life on base — with a comedic twist. We are in no way, shape, or form, a real news outlet. Just about everything on this website is satirical in nature.
And now, onto the legal disclaimers…

I rock a beard most of the time while performing my aseptic operations. In fact, I just now sat down after performing "Operation Filling Line Equipment Install" also known as "setting up" to the average person. It got pretty intense at one point when my sterile glove almost touched a no-contact point. Luckily my partner was there to help me through.

I've had a beard for years, however have been shaving this last week. Maybe it's time to grow out a combat beard and see how my accuracy improves at the range.

I sported a beard for a little while over there, and I actually think it helps lol. I feel way more confident for some primitive reason. I sport a doorknocker goatee trimmed close now, and I feel even more BA (probably because I can't see my bacon rolls :)
