Just saying two for the price of one.
ZR Tactical has done that exact service for me on my old Mk II. You may want to contact them and ask how much they would charge (I'd assume less than $100, but I can't confirm that).

Nice rifle, but I'm fairly sure the OP is talking about his pistol.

Beowulf, were you satisfied with the job they did? I came across them recently while googling around.
Yes, I'm talking about the Ruger pistol. I need to contact AllenM as well.
He cut and threaded my mpx. No complaints.

Dough......Hommer Simpson moment!
I was. I've had them thread most of my stuff. I was actually just talking to Zach about cutting my Ruger MKII down to a super short barrel, a la the movie Assassins.
Here are a couple of examples I was thinking of:
That is SO COOL. What would that bring the final barrel length down to?
I called and talked to someone at ZR, dont think it was Zach though. I'm going to try and find time this week to take them my MK III and my Ruger 77/22. Im not sure the 77/22 barrel is thick enough to be threaded at the end though. It may have to be cut down. Sounds like I need to start another thread...
I don't see that being super accurate, but I do see it being SUPER fun.I need to measure to be sure, but I think it takes down to 2" or maybe like 1 1/2"
