President Obama signed a piece of legislation, as vile I believe it is, but it was an act of Congress.

President Obama cannot simply rule by ukasi. There must be an act of Congress.

However, with the way this current administration is proceeding I can see why some people become concerned over Internet rumors.

Is amnesty equivalent to automatic citizenship?

As much as I deplore the idea of giving them a free pass on their illegal behavior, I also recognize the impossible logistics of getting them deported. So I don't see any solution involving this option as successful. But I'll be damned if I can support full citizenship. I wouldn't like it, but I could tolerate a change in legal status to something like permanent legal resident.

At the very least, in theory anyway, this would preclude the voting bloc motivation.

I can see Obama granting amnesty for keeping some of his fellow Dems in office as well as maybe even himself. His policy and agenda plans are sinking in oil and he has to do something to save his plan for change.
