I have several 10s and have let way too many slip through my fingers, the most notable I let go of being 2 610s, a Ruger Buckeye Special and a couple Deltas. I still have a 5” 610, Delta Gold Cup, a couple Witnesses and some G pistols. The 610 is by far my favorite. The 5” balances well and I like being able to shoot 10mm or 40 Short n Weak out of it. The Witnesses are fine shooters too.

Well I have added another 10mm to the stable, I now have a Ruger Match Champion to go with my Colt Delta Elite and S&W 1006.

On a side note I have discovered that the GP-100 Match Champion is almost exactly the same size and weight as an N frame S&W. I have both and I will give a slight edge to the GP-100 but I like them both.

My Son in Law came up with this idea and I thought it was great.

I've got a ton of 10mm ammo and I've had a hankering for a S&W model 610, 5 inch revolver but have you seen the prices if you can even find one?

So I got to thinking, the model 610 is an N frame revolver, it's big, to big for my liking and I don't believe S&W will ever make a 5 shot L frame.

So, I thought well, I've already got a S&W model 629, 6 inch no lock N frame from years ago that I also reload for so why not just shoot 44 special since so many shooters seem to adore the 44 special round and save myself a ton of money?

Yeah, but a S&W, 5 shot L frame would sure be sweet, yeah, keep on dreaming.
2 years later and still waiting for that 69’in a 10mm or 41 mag! Wish they would do some special runs or Talo specials on these. Both would sell I feel.

Well since that post I not only got a 4" Smith & Wesson 610 in 10 mm but I got a 4" GP-100 Match Champion in 10mm. I put Wolff spring kits in both of them and now they are both sweet performers.
