S&W SD40 trigger opinions, please

I got a SD40 VE at a very good price from a BIL. The factory trigger is AWFUL! There's mixed, though mostly positive, reviews of the Apex trigger and spring package. Anybody have experience with the Apex or any other upgrade for SD? TIA.

I put an Apex in my son in law's. It made a huge difference.

I've put Apex trigger kits in two of my S&Ws. An Apex will make a world of difference.
