Well KJF, I planned on OCing as usual.
They're going to be around a bunch of rifles, what's another pistol?

Jedi, I plan on attending, but don't put me down yet?
I have to put in for a vacation day.
And I still have to see if my Dad is going.

well I suppose I just didn't want to be the only one....lol
    I will have mine.

Jedi, do you know when and where this is being advertised?
I'm assuming it's for any youth....not just a certain demographic?

Have not heard back from W-DNR on flyers, helping pass our flyers, etc.
Yes it's for any youth ages 8-16.

W-DNR's idea was to target youth who have never shot or used bow & arrows, who are typically on a "playstation" and never get out, and who would not have an adult figure (ie. mom or dad, single parent homes) who don't do outdoor stuff since they don't know about it, don't have time due to work, etc.

It's our first year so the "field" is wide open. If it goes well we might be asked to do it again. Kingsbury DNR does something similar on a much bigger scale for the youth and that is where the idea came about from.

    Since I didn't get a reply via PM... I'll ask here :)

I am in. I can help instruct as well. I have the following I'm willing/able to bring if needed.

box (525) of .22lr if more becomes available between now and then :)

    GSG-522 w/ red dot
    (2) .22lr Savage Mark II w/ scopes (bolt action w/ ten round mags each).. each gun may have bipods by then as well.

Since it didn't look like anyone asked Cabelas in Hammond if they could help I took liberty in asking. I will let you know. Is there anything specific right now other than maybe some .22's and clays. Some targets and eye & ear protection. I am looking like I will be there as well. Not sure how long don't want to commit to anything.

Clays and .22 is what we will need most of.
I had not approached Cabela's as I was waiting for the DNR flyer about the event.
But thanks for taking the lead on it.

Blythe's has the eye and ear protection covered and another of of members (GhostOfWinter) has more than enough ear protection to last us a lifetime that he said we should be OK. So more eye protect (as a backup) would help.

I'm in. My "cheater gun" ;) scoped bolt savage .22 & left handed AR15 are up for grabs. I think with both their setups they'd be suited for for 50yd bench.

Count myself and my son in. I will see more of what is needed as the time draws closer but we will be there. Also I seen a box of clays at Gander Mountain yesterday for the cheapest I've seen around NWI. They had 130 count for $10. Wally world was 90 for $10 and I seen Blythes in Griffith had 130 for $15. I need to get back to GM to get some.

Would you like to teach on the rifle range, trap range or just participate. So I know where to place you on the lines.
