    Savage 775 Restoration (Pics Linked)

I thought I'd post a few pictures of my latest project. This is my great-uncle's Savage 775 12 gauge that I inherited last Christmas. I've had it out trap shooting and just shooting old stumps in the woods. It's shoots pretty well. I decided that I needed a new project and the Savage would get the attention. So far I have reblued the barrel, refinished the forearm, and have polished the receiver. There is still some more polishing that need to be done, and the stock has a big chunk that is missing and is cracked. I'm still trying to determine if I will tackle the repair or just get a new stock. Enjoy!
