I held over a large amount of hybrid seeds from spring plantings two years back and used them last year and again this spring to experiment a little, this years starter pots had about a 30% failure to germinate compared to the past two years, all in not to bad. I just use an ammo can and dessicant bags to store them.

tip I learned just today, put your seeds in a jar of water, good seeds will sink to bottom, bad seeds float. Scoop off the bad seeds and dump out water and place goods seeds in place to dry. Haven't tried it, but just heard about it today.
