Hard to believe any republican will give up any tax revenue. We know democrats will oppose it.

Anyone else notice this contradiction? From the article:

"State Rep. Ashley Trantham, R-Greenville, filed a bill ahead of the legislative session that begins in January that would eliminate the sales tax on small arms ammunition. This would include ammunition for any “portable firearm,” which could include “rifles, shotguns, pistols and revolvers with no barrel greater than an internal diameter of .50 caliber or a shotgun of ten gauge or smaller,” the bill reads.

Small arms ammunition is normally what gun owners keep in a purse, by their bedside or in their vehicle, Trantham said. These weapons are used for personal protection, she added, which is why she is pushing to eliminate the sales tax only for for small arms ammunition and not bigger guns used for hunting or other uses."

Yuppers! Interesting the amount of un-intentional ignorance elected representatives display when they think they know something about something they know very little or nothing about!

Kinda odd to see someone so ignorant supporting our cause rather than fighting us.

    Shhhhhhhusssshh!
She's either trying to sneak one past the democrats, with the aid of a little subterfuge, or they hunt geese in SC with a 40mm Bofors.

That would only be good for SC people only. You wouldn't get that tax break if it was an internet sale to indiana because all out of state internet sales have to collect buyers sales tax for their state.

Now, if SC could just figure out how to recognize Indiana’s LTCH, and pass constitutional carry…
Indiana might just need to go to a tiered license system like we have here in SD. Here we have constitutional carry for just in state carry, then we have a 'Regular' shall-issue no training required license like IN, from there we have an 'Enhanced' permit that requires training but opens up access to seven additional states (including SC), and the 'Gold' permit which I think just has a more in depth background check but covers nearby WI. The other advantage of our upper tier licenses is that it exempts you from NICS when you buy a gun. I know nobody likes any type of license/permit system but it is what it is.

^^^ Indiana doesn't  need to go anywhere near this. The rest of the nation  needs to come to CC.
"Tiered" anything is just Animal Farm....
Some animals are more equal than others.
