Texas is seeing the same sort of secession pressure. And as a former free Republic, it's not without precedent.

What is going to be interesting to see is the lengths to which the fed willl go to stop this movement. You can bank on them using the media to paint these people as extremists and their political philosophies as quackery.

All the States worth having are the ones which seem to be the trouble-makers.

But this minarchism misses the point entirely.

Might want to be a bit more precise - consider that IL as a whole isn't bad, it's Chicago that jacked it up....

California's more reasonable than you would think, once LA and the SF Bay Area are removed.

And consider New York without NYC and Albany...

They might actually be pleasant states, under those circumstances!
