With permission I'd like to include some of these pictures, particularly those that show Athena & I, on my facebook page.

You know you're more than welcome. They have you in them don't they? :)

economic socialism is where the people own everything. no big corporations. but america is far to large to have economic socialism work properly.

Actually, if I remember right, a socialist economy is one where government owns the capital and the people do not. In this case I'm talking about capital as in that which produces goods. In other words, tractors, cars, factories' machinery, if we still had slaves, people... The government would own all that, not the people. A socialist economy is a very bad thing.

This will explain it a bit better. Starts about 2:50.

It was a really great day for the march. lot's of sun and a lot of great people to walk with. Those two youngin's with the AR's have inspired me to start going to the AR builds and get one going for my kids.

Great meeting all and further discussions at the Cafeteria. For all the upset people on here about govt intrusion I hope there will be a larger turn out for thenext one.

    thanks for the ride SE

Whether they have me in them or not, you're still the copyright owner (as the one who took the picture) and by law and simple courtesy I need to ask permission to use them elsewhere.

It's ok. I operate under the pretense that if you're in the picture, you own it too. ;)

I really appreciate you coming there. Were there any articles about the march?? I haven't found any...

Also, wondering if it'll be ok to use your pictures in any possible upcoming Marches in the future and for my own personal use? It would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Jeez I need to pay more attention! Didn't even know this happened, if this happens over the summer I will be sure to attend!

Don't worry. The next time this is organized I will make sure to plaster this EVERYWHERE. Even if I have to post in threads for no other reason except to advertise the March.

As I said before, I was pretty disappointed at the turn out of the March. I said that I would cry if we got more than 30 people. I should have said more than 300.

There are... 8,833 members on this forum. Figure that 200-300 are duplicate members. Figure another 500-700 are troll anti's. So that leaves about 7000 +/- members here that actually care about guns and gun rights.

I don't see ANY reason we shouldn't have at LEAST 1,000 members on this board that care enough about their rights and have the courage to exercise those rights in public. Hell, you don't even have to openly carry a gun if you don't want to. We've had 2 events in the past 8 months and not one of them have had any issues let alone serious issues. Even if we have to split into 4-5 groups going separate directions to a central location, there is NO reason we shouldn't have a good group of members come to a March.

I understand, some people work Saturdays or have other obligations. But these things don't happen that often and before last year, have never happened in this state at all. Next time this happens, if we don't have 500 members attend I will be very disappointed in the forum. I thought we all cared about gun rights. I thought we had more people that open carried, at the very least.

This event wasn't advertised well. That's Jared and I's fault. Next time though, it will be well advertised, well planned, and billed well in advance.

Please don't waste your time slamming me for my comments here. I know people have their reasons for not being able to attend. However, I fail to believe that out of 7000 members, all of you have better things to do. :twocents:

I'm still very proud of those that attended this time, and last time.

Someone please tell me what we have to do to get a big turn out.

Pics from the event on my Facebook page. Since I didn't have a camera and couldn't have used one if I did, they are cribbed from elsewhere but they can be found here:

Hey I understand why you'd be upset. I agree, I need to pay attention better to the ingo events and activities.

Maybe you could make an email mailing list? If its done over the summer(ill be working in indy) I'm sure I could make it on a Saturday.

Wont have any long guns to tote, but my G23 will be with me!

And I don't mean to go off on anyone, especially those that CAN'T make it because of whatever. I just can't understand why we only got 35-40 people for such an important event. Again, that's probably my fault for not advertising better. :dunno: I'll take the blame for that.

Also, if you don't wish to carry, or carry concealed, that's perfectly fine as well.

I just want to know what needs to happen to get a large group of members to come? Does the government have to come after our rights on a large scale first? I just don't know.

I completely agree. I know that Mike (from Oathkeepers) was also disappointed. Only 3 of our 200 members showed up to the march.

I can honestly say I am a bit disappointed also. Especially after reading this wasn't well advertised. We (hubby & I) gave money to help promote this. had a few fliers dropped off in our shop, and I mean a very few. That's ok, put them where they will do the most good. Now you sit here and tell me that it wasn't advertised?

As far as not being there, we do own a business and had the shop and a gun show to man. This stretched us thin and unable to go.

This was pretty much my view of the whole event...

    Good times... Good times...

I got a real kick out of the guy who asked the man sitting in front of the State House, "How do you feel about the 2nd Amendment?", and the response was, "I have no idea what you are talking about"... So typical.

Any one would like to guess who this guy voted for?

This I understand. As far as it not being advertised well... I had it in my signature line and post in a lot of places on here. It wasn't my event so I don't know how well Jared advertised this. I know i haven't seen the National March advertised many places at all. :dunno: I didn't know he wasn't handing out fliers to businesses, but had I known he wasn't I would have posted it everywhere. I told all kinds of people about the march here in Indy though. I told just about everyone I met that looked like they'd care.

I can honestly say that I didn't know anything about it until it was either Jared came into the shop or a postal worked called and asked if I could drop off business cards so he could pass them out during the march. Not sure which was first.
I don't have a lot of time to read much on here.
As much money as I donated though, I would hope I earned a lot more than a blurb in a sig line. If the fliers were passed out during the march like the ones he brought to the shop, I will be happier because then I know at least ink and paper were bought with it and my business card was put on it.
