    I do not.

    Some people do get this type of insurance mostly because even though you may not go to jail for a self defense shooting you may face civil suits from the "victim" and his/her family. Remember, bad guys who get shot are always people who were on the brink of turning their life around and never intended to hurt you despite the fact that they started shooting at you.

    I opted for the self defense rider on a policy with NRA/Lockton Risk. I have since switched to the Second Call Defense product.

    Monthly billing
    second call provides a hotline
    second call upfronts the money to get my butt out of the clink. The insurance portion can not pay until after trial, etc. It reimburses the fund at that point.
    better civil suit protection
    unfortunately the strict liability portion is over priced compared to the insurance rider. So if liability is the main concern go that route.
