I know something similar just came up recently but my search skills are lacking today but my brother-in-law that lives in TN whom possess a FFL wants to buy a pistol from me. Do I need to ship it to him from an FFL here in IN or can I just ship it UPS or FedEx? I know for an individual it must go through an FFL but I'm missing the individual that possesses the FFL thing. Sorry but I've gotten about 4 hours sleep in the last two days.

ship direct to your brother (FFL) using Fed Ex or UPS. USPS will not accept handguns from individuals.
it is not illegal to do this however not all FFL dealers will accept firearms from individuals.

Thanks. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. We'll be seeing each other soon so probably won't need to ship anyway.
