I've got my eye on a small, fixed recurved blade. I use a Sharpmaker and a diamond stone but have never sharpened a recurve. What do I need to know to keep it sharp? Any special talents required?

With the small stones edges of the sharpmaker, it is perfect for a recurve. It help maintain the shape. It would be harder to sharpen on large stone and it will cause the belly of the recuve to lose it angle over time. But that is if you sharpening it alot.
