Sheriff Arpaio allows actor to drive a tank through a citizen's home to make arrest

Last week in Phoenix, Sheriff Joe Arpaio teamed up with actor Steven Seagal to film an episode of his reality TV show, Lawman. The suspect that they were apprehending was allegedly running a cockfighting ring.

Steven Seagal and the Maricopa County Sheriff's department used a tank to topple the side of suspect's home, and made a dramatic Police State entrance through the suspect's wall.

Then, the Sheriff's department killed 115 roosters on the spot... in order to ensure that they weren't allowed to kill each other for sport. Interesting how that is done without a trial. Judge, jury, and executioner.

So lets hear it. Its not a real tank. Its for officer safety. Arpaio is a hero. My department has one of those. Blah blah blah. Enjoy your living room being crushed when you are a crime 'suspect.'

Armored vehicles and SWAT to bust a guy for having a cockfighting ring???? Are you kidding me? Hopefully, Sheriff Joe and Steven Seagal lose big time in court. Perhaps this will cause the citizens of Maricopa County to wake up and vote him out of office. Wouldn't it have been easier to just knock on the door? I realize it wouldn't have been as dramatic, but it would work just as well. It was a cockfighting operation. I realize cockfighting is a brutal and violent sport, besides being illegal, but in the end, the only things being harmed are some roosters. All of this over some roosters?

No way. I don't watch TV. Shows like this drill authoritarianism into people's heads. Driving tanks through people's homes is not cool and it is not my kind of entertainment. It just makes me mad.
