Shipping costs of Ammo

Preparing to order some .223 and .45 auto at least 500 possibly 1000 of each. Do the shipping charges still offset the savings? And yes Im going to order from a site supporter if there is still value to be had..

It's still usually cheaper, shipping usually runs me about $20 for 1000 rounds of centerfire ammo. Cheaper than paying for gas to drive to a good gunshop sadly, but I still drive from time to time.

The only draw back is you can't get ammunition shipped USPS ammunition has to shipped UPS so it adds to the cost.
