Saw some what looked to me like smallmouth in a little rapids behind the house. Wifey said.she thought they were crappie, but I didnt know crappie frequented this far up in the white river. Still looked like smallmouth to me.

I've been bowfishing seven or so years now. Mostly in. Hamilton co. I haven't had time to get out recently to see if the carp are in one of my usual spots yet. Recently upgraded to a pse wave. It really gets those arrows out there fast!

I bowfish a lot. Sold my bowfishing boat though. So now, I just get out a few times a year. I shoot a PSE Kingfisher. I shoot around 30 or so a year, but when I had the boat, we would pull hundreds out of Eagle Creek and Morris.

I was up fishing Wawasee last weekend and I got to see some of the boats they had for a bowfishing tournament. I actually didn't know what it was at first. The guy had about a 22 foot skiff with a 250 Yamaha on it, so it caught my eye. I walked over to the ramp and talked to him and he explained his whole setup. On top of the outboard he had a fan, like an airboat. He also had two generators and probably 50 halogen lights. I didn't realize how big that sport had grown.

    Good Day Out

A-Savvy and I went out today in Hamilton Co. and did pretty well. We were a bit rusty at first, but ended up not doing too bad for two hours of wading. The trophy was the white/albino? carp that I got. Glock22, might need your help in a positive fish ID on that one.

Ordered a cheap recurve today, Samick Sage limbs (45#) for a Cartel plastic riser.
Buddy said his boat should be done rigging lights end of the week.
Prefer 50# but thought maybe this will do.
I'll slap a Saunders zip reel on it. Have had a couple of AMS on compounds, worked great but the "pock" noise just irritated the crap out of me. Hopefully the zip won't grate my nerves. Had those on bows way back, but gave them away like an idiot when I went AMS............ :(
