Has anyone bought or shot one? I got one today. I have shot the gsg 1911 but didn't like the grip safty on it. The sig seemed much nicer. Any comments?

The Sig1911-22 is EXACTLY the same gun as the GSG1911-22. The SIG is made by GSG under contract, and gets different SIG marked grips and slide markings.

I guess I will find out when I shoot it. A year or so ago I was shooting a gsg and found I had to really squeeze the grip to make it fire. I guess if its the same as the gsg I shot before I will have a gun to sell

The issue with the extra squeeze on the grip is caused by a lack of pressure on the grip safety during the trigger pull, and can be remedied two ways. You can either learn to grip the pistol very high into the web of your hand, or you can replace the arched MSH with a flat MSH, which is what I did on mine.

My GSG1911 with Hogue grips and a S&W flat MSH...

Have fun with your new pistol.
