Sig 516

In the latest American Rifleman magazine, it has a article about the new Sig 516 rifle. It built like the regular AR15 platform with the forward assist and dust cover. Looks pretty promising and it's piston gas charge too for $1,300.00. Might get one if my saving is growing fast enough.

Yes the SIG 516 looks interesting. A fellow I work with has already tried to get one. Sometime next year he was told. ( I think he talked to Mid West)
I thought the Ruger SR-556, the October 2009 American Rifle, looked good. Both uppers seem to be similar. Both are gas pistons with adjustable gas regulators. Ruger uses a standard AR lower were as the Sig uses a lower with some changes. The Ruger MSRP is $1995.00. I will have to reread the clip on the Ruger, but the Sig looks good for a MSRP of $1300.00.
