Lots of supposition in that last post. The Sig design does not strike me as overly complex. Probably less complex than a CZ 75B internally. The quality of Sigs has changed but Sig is still one of the best in the industry.
Where the quality has changed is in the move from largely machined frames to stamped steel, mim and molded plastic grip modules. Those changes are not limited to Sig though, as most of the industry has moved from machined aluminum or steel frames to stamped and molded frames.
To go off without a trigger pull would require something to raise the firing pin safety out of the way. Otherwise, the sear disengaging would just have the firing pin catch on the plunger with no discharge. Pulling the trigger raises the plunger and releases the sear.
It is most likely a case of trigger interference in the holster than the sear magically releasing at the same time as the FP plungers rising on its own.
