sight question for 1911

I have a rock island arms xt22 and it is shooting high
now this is a 1911 .22 but i was wanting to know what the standed rear sight dove tail cut is for a 1911 ..... I would either like an adjustable rear sight or like to buy a shorter one ... I just don't know what to buy
so if there are any 1911 45 people that could i would really apreciate it

I also have an XT-22 and thought I could help you out if you were close but Henderson is a "fer piece" from Greenwood.
You might consider filing the rear notch deeper, at least that is what I would try.

if this is like GSG 1911 22 they come with 3 different height front sight blades.
You might check the box
But regardless you are better off changing the front blade to correct POI unless of course you do put an adjustable sight on it

The rear dovetail "looks" like a novak cut. However, you should measure to ensure that it is a true novak spec. Or at least close enough that you could add a novak rear sight with only minor fitting.

Note that the novak rear cut is .495" x 65°

crap...never mind. I just took another look and I think that the rear sight cut is not a novak cut.

So make sure you measure it B4 you order any parts.

I really like mine too but it IS picky about ammo. I can't get it to run on anything but CCI blazers or Stingers and the Stingers are a little salty for practice. I was in the right place at the right time a couple of weeks ago and got one of the new Ruger 22/45 Lite pistols so I'm thinking I'm going to put the XT-22 on the auction block because the Ruger is really light has a threaded barrel and not picky at all about ammo.
