I'm not a deer hunter but I usually see 3-4 deer in the field behind my house during deer season. This year I have not seen any. Also, I have heard more coyotes at night.

I saw more deer this year than the past three years combined. Monroe and Owen county. Saw a few decent bucks, and one or two really nice ones. Lots of buck yearlings though based on the fact that three of the four "antlerless" that were killed on the property I hunt were button bucks. Personally I got one buck and 3 does.

The last 2 yrs have been the worst deer hunting years I have ever had in the 20 yrs I have hunted. I have always hunted DeKalb Co and the same property for over 15 yrs of the 20. I haven't seen a single buck while hunting in 2 yrs and only a handful of does. I even tried a new piece of land this year out of frustration. Only good thing was my son (13) was able to get a small doe in youth season. The DNR really needs to rethink their bonus antlerless amounts for a while IMO.

I think disease took a heavy toll here (Knox county).
I have seen very few deer during the last 3 months or so.
Lately I've found a relatively small amount of deer sign in cedar thickets, on the leeward hill sides, and in a few places where there are a lot of acorns.
They will rebound and it would help if the Winter isn't real hard on them.

Only saw 2 doe and 2 bucks this year. Got the second buck. I usually see several does every time I go out and that wasn't the case this year. The 2 does I saw we're right at I was leaving my stand and it was too dark to take a shot. I did see a lot (6-10) on my way drive home from my hunting almost every time. A lot of the guys I talk to the hunt the same area of Orange County said the same thing. They seemed very nocturnal this year.

Around here,(Switzerland County) things are the same as they have been for the past 15 years. Lots of deer. Just not around when I am out hunting. The wife and I was going out to get some milk and dinner out and there was three does in the side yard the day after hunting season. She couldn't contain her self laughing, I thought she was going to wet herself.

During hunting season I would come back in from hunting and the dogs would start barking and it would be deer up next to the yard. I don't know what I was doing wrong. I did see some deer but never had a good shot. I will not take a shot that I feel as risky.
