You know how it goes, you're trying to jam that last round in there and your finger slips off the bullet, thumbnail taking a little piece of another finger with it. I wish I could say it's the first time this has happened. Maybe I need to start wearing gloves when I load mags lol.

Oooh yeah. A few times. It usually leaves an annoying sore that gets bumped, poked, or has pressure put on it through out the healing process that leaves me cringing.

I've done this loading mags at a match in the rain. I really should invest in one of those Uplula things.

Chez, the Uplula is great! I use it for my M&P 9 and it makes loading mags a breeze. I really don't need it for single stack 1911, but you could use it there also.

Maybe its just practice...or familiarity...or dexterity.:) I never had an issue until I got a M&P 9. I don't know what I am doing wrong, but it is very difficult for me to get a mag loaded. I can load one with the Uplula in less than 20 seconds though.

I have since bought one of those cheap things that aid in loading .22 mags too.
