I wish you would quit talking about that gun cause you know I'll just end up buying one :(

Not a fan of Bob tail as they are not a good fit for my hand.
The fishscale serrations are a push as well. Handsome gun just a bit busy for my taste.
Now that I am done complaining I will say S&W makes a nice 1911. I feel they (like a Kimber) are overpriced. This opinion comes from strolling around inside a couple of them.
This one was my EDC and night stand piece for a long time.

Not too worried about the "Signess". I have an early 90's German made all nickel plated P226 with walnut grips that was my Dad's to that satisfies that urge...
It's this darn S&W that's caught my eye...

This gun is a beast! Bought the black version about a month ago and love it, probably between it or the TRP would be my favorites out of the few 1911s that I own. Buds has that easy layaway that keeps me in trouble! LOL.

I'm interested in checking out the SW1911 E-series in person and see if I like the round butt grip or not, but I do like the looks of the round butt a little better.
From what I'm told, liking something 1911 related solely based on it's looks is not only acceptable but down right expected in the 1911 world because you're all guilty of it at one time or another. LOL

Sorry I hijacked the OP's thread... oh wait, It's Tom's thread... never mind :):

The bobbed/rounded grip fits some hands and others not so much. Try before you buy.
