    AKA "War Closet"
Diminsions on the back wall are 5'x8'.

It is a work in progress but, I don't think it looks too bad.

    Coded deadbolt.

I'm not wanting to sound like I'm critiquing you, more interested as I'll be moving to a new home in the spring & might consider something like this.

You have a coded deadbolt, but are the walls reinforced anyhow.
I'm assumeing this is more or better than 2x4/2x2 & drywall construction around the "War Closet"?

I understand. Not taken as criticism at all. The walls are not reinforced at all. I wish I could but I had enough trouble clearing this with the wife:D.

As far as security goes. There is always someone home at my house 24 hr a day. The deadbolt is more of a saftey measure for children.

So if they make it up my 1,800' driveway un-noticed. Past whomever is home and armed at the time. Take a sledgehammer through the wall and steal my little collection.

    They can have it:D

Looks good. I have to share my secure closet with the wife, so they're not gonna get our vacuum cleaner, either.

I hope that's a solid core door - a fist can breach a hollow core door. Have you done anything about the hinge pins? If the pins are taken out the deadbolt is useless.

Looks great. I always wanted to do something like that hidden behind a bookcase, but haven't lived in a place where I'd have the room to do so, yet.

    One day.
