I've bought a few Bobcat Steel targets over the years. I'm curious what everyone else uses, where you get them, and how you like them

I saw some nice ones at Blythe's in Griffith today.

They have a hanger that hooks on a triangular steel fence post.

Several different styles, but the one that caught my eye was a 1/2 size silhouette for $30.

All I need is a place to use it.

Years ago I bought some AR500 targets from Sportsmans Guide back when they were a good company.
Midway USA, and local gun shops. That is where I've bought my AR 500 targets.

Recently bought some from them. Only used a few times but seem solid.

I’ve never used Bobcat but have only heard stellar things about them.
Same here. Have silhouettes, gongs and stuff. They all suit me

I've picked up a few from the Metals Supermarket in Indy. They were pretty inexpensive, and they have held up well. They were definitely cut in the store when someone had some free time and/or scrap pieces of appropriate steel, but that's OK by me.

I don't know if the Ft. Wayne store cuts targets like that, but it doesn’t hurt to call and ask.

I've shot 3/8" AR 500 6" and 8" gongs at 50 yards with 149gr FMJ 7.62x51 and they didn't do hardly anything to them. I do have mine angled down and to the right a little to deflect them the way I want them to go. So you really don't need 1/2" AR 500 for 7.62x51 or rifles with that power if you angle your targets correctly.

Another shootingtargets7.com customer here. I have 3/8" stuff, a 10" bullseye gong and a bullseye torso, using their stand as well. Extremely happy so far, but have only used pistol calibers on them. They run all kinds of deals, coupons and ship super fast. I believe they're out of Michigan.
