Reviving this thread because they're baaaaaaack. Hopefully it's short-lived like when the thread was started, but I've been killing them with a flyswatter out here on the deck.

The devils don't really stink until you squish them.
.... kinda always smelled like strong pine needles to me.

It’s weird that you guys way north of me are seeing a lot of em. I never really noticed them being around any more or any less the rest of the year. A few years ago there seemed to be a ridiculous amount of them, but not recently.
They show up here in the early fall and then they migrate into your house in early winter.

Killed 9 of them the last couple days. Around the front door mainly, gets opened a lot with grandkids and the dog.

    Hate them.

Same. Bought the FJB tactical fly swatter midnight death color.. it seems to work well. It kills their freedom quite well
Worked in the garage while the wife is recovering from knee surgery and eliminated several and able to make a sentence after using this tool of destruction :)

I bet I've killed close to 20 out on the deck with my flyswatter today. They've slowed down now, but at peak afternoon heating (southern exposure) they were keeping me busy.

Had a small one out front on ledge.
    Get house sprayed in spring.
    Seems to carry through fall.

No orb weavers crappin down the siding.
And only seen one wheelbug about a month ago.

Oddly, little spiders around, but no jumping spiders (I like those).
