Stock and Field (former Big R stores) reopening???

Those familiar with Stock and Field (former Big R stores) might like this info.
(Stock and Field are farm/home stores that also sell outdoor sporting goods including firearms and ammunition.)

Right now, our former closed Stock and Field store, has reopened here in HomerGlen Illinois.
The Morris Illinois location is slated to also reopen soon.
Reports of the Michigan City Indiana Store reopening can’t be currently confirmed.
A new name for these stores has not been released yet by the new owners/management.
Hopefully this information passed on to me from a store manager is true.
Stock and Field (formerly Big R) has always been a supporter of the shooting sports.
I’ve found their prices and supply’s for firearms and ammo to be very reasonable.
Nice to see another retailer engage and support the shooting sports.
(I was told firearms and ammunition will return in early August)......[fingers crossed]

The Wabash store is reopened but I think they were waiting on an FFL to open the gun counter

They were slated to put one in the old Menards in South Bend on Ireland. But I guess things went south just as that started. I'd like to see one closer to home.

The Rochester store reopened this week, no signs of a firearms . Just s shelf of targets at this time.

The Warsaw store is open, and the shelves are only about 60% stocked, but it's getting better. No guns or ammo yet but they have a big sign saying that firearms are coming back in Fall of 2021.

The Michigan City store is open, however the store has about 35% of its inventory.
Bare shelves throughout the store.
The firearms area has a few cases and cleaning supplies (last look a few days ago).
The employees said they have no truck drivers to bring them merch ???
At this rate they will be reclosed soon.
Usually three or four cars in their parking lot at any given time.
Opening a store without a plan to stock it isn't a good sign.
I wish them the best but...

I went by the Crawfordsville IN store two weeks ago and they were open, partially stocked but no guns or ammo at that time. I only make it by occasionally.

Not to mention the fact that LaPorte County just got a brand new Rural King a few months ago.
I cant imagine S&F competing with RK !

My Dad is the sporting goods manager at the Wabash store. They will have firearms and ammo, they're just waiting on their FFL. Obviously quantity and selection may be limited for awhile, just like everywhere else.
