Stopped in at Gander Mountian this morning...

to buy some shoes, walked over to the gun dept. and didn't even have to take a number! One other guy there, now if there prices would just go down. Still no ammo though.

Not surprised. No reason for a line if there's no high demand items to sell. I stopped by Dick's sporting goods on E. Washington St. in Indy to price a 52" soft bag for my Mosin. There were two guys frantically searching for a box of .223. He said he just bought an AR and can't find any ammo for it. I wanted to ask where he had been for the last month.

stopped at the Hobart store yesterday. The sales guy suggested this would be a good time to switch to 17 cal guns. Lots of 17, no 22 or 223 or 357 or 45. There was some 40 caliber and 9mm.

I checked a local store near Rockford,IL today to see if things were better. Same story, different state.

The salesmen told me when to get in line if I want to buy ammo. He said it is sold out within minutes.

Seems like every time I go into the 96th Wal Mart, they have 40 and 30-06, 45 and 9 is pretty rare. Hopefully things will be bak to normal soon.

I was in there about a week ago. There was a lot of ammo, and all over-priced as you say. Still, I didn't see any .22Lr
.22shot-shells was all I saw.

i have a house in michigan, stopped at the walmart in kalamazoo the other day. i hit the jackpot! i bought 3 boxes{All your allowed to buy per person},son bought 3 boxes and my buddy bought 3 boxes, came back to indiana with 450 rounds for bout $19 a box, ya just gotta get lucky,

I went into GM in castleton a week or so ago to get another ammo can. It was kinda crowded, with everyone bustling around looking but there was nothing to buy

They had ammo cans full of CCI .17 and .22 for $99 I think.

I also have stopped going to Dicks. They need to realize that I probably spend 1000-3000 per year on non gun related sporting goods.

As of yesterday their was no shortage ..
The outdoorsman also had .223 3bx limit..

GM in Coldwater MI, has shelves full of Handgun ammo, all flavors. No 223 or 22lr though. But a big sign read "Next Truck Thursday".
