Strange question on UZI mag lowers

I have plans to build a 9mm AR pistol soon.
But cash is tight, I have a chance to get a CMMG lower at a fair price.
My strange question is, can I use UZI 22lr mags and pop a 22lr upper on there also?
Can't afford the 9mm parts right now, so i'll get them here and there until I can put it all together.

I would contact CMMG and ask them? My RRA 9mm AR takes converted UZI mags
