    I'm new to building an AR from the ground up and wanted to get your opinions for good pricing on a stripped upper and lower combo (prices before the gun craze). I'm wanting to do this right from the beginning and not half ***. I've got one AR already, just wanting to take my time and build my own.

    Any info/input would be greatly appreciated.

    pre panic prices........lower and uppers ran in the neighborhood of $100 a piece

    Was that about average price for most manufacturers?

    What makes one manufacturer better than the other if they're pretty much made the same way? Besides molded vs. forged, I know the difference in those 2.
