    I'd recommend staying with a brand that is quality made. Stay with the Streamlight TLR's. Or spend the extra money for the Surefire's.

    IMO, the strobe feature is just a "cool" feature. It's not really something you need for a self defense weapon light.

    All you want to do is identify the attacker, and blind him.

    IMO you'll mess yourself up just as much as your intended target. Try it sometime.

    There may be uses for a strobe feature, but I feel they are mostly out of the scope of civilian self- or home-defense.

    One thing it could be useful for is as a pseudo warning device should your car become disabled in traffic at night.

    I have only used the strobe one time directing traffic at an accident. It almost makes me sick to look at it. I have a Streamlight Stinger. I would tell anyone to buy it great battery life and very bright.

    I won't say that using a strobing light function is helping for training, it might hurt the target for 50%, but rest of the 50%'s effect will be all on you lol
