This shows just how low profile the XC1 is on a G19 or P229 sized pistol. It does not protrude past the muzzle and does not add any bulk or extra width to the overall package so carrying a light is easy. It is 200 lumens in that tiny package and was designed for target identification during low light situations which as shown below it excels at. The light features momentary on push buttons as seen on the trigger guard of the 229. The permanent on button is the small button right above the Surefire logo. Both activators are easy to reach but if using one handed manipulations the permanent on button would be impossible to reach with your gun hand.

The light on the XC1 is actually borrowed from the Titan light series so it was designed to produce a nice even light patern without a center "hot spot" to aid in nighttime target identification. The port on the left hand side is the battery cover a single AAA battery feeds the light and has a run time of around 1.2 hours with a Panasonic Eneloop battery.

Showing how little bulk the XC1 adds to the holster set up, I really do not notice it at all during carry.

[h=2]XC1 Beam Pattern[/h] The 200 lumen pattern at the 25 yard line in my backyard, it illuminates a nice wide area so you can light up the entire situation to identify if there are multiple targets and for situational awareness.

[h=2]X300U Beam Pattern[/h] Just as a comparison this is the 500 lumen Surefire X300U this sucker is basically a spotlight but much bulkier than the XC1 the light fits flush only on a Government Sized 1911 and is used primarily as my nightstand gun.

[h=2]Titan + Beam Patern[/h] The best comparison as the Titan + has the same light diode as the XC1 but the Titan+ puts out a 300 lumen beam this is due to its brass body and longer overall package.

Basically the XC1 makes it very easy to carry a capable weapon mounted light on a G19/P229 sized pistol with a minimal addition of bulk. These can be found for around the $220 mark if you look.
