So does anyone know of best way to clean surface rust off of reloading dies? It doesn't seem to take long for surface rust to build up on my dies for whatever reason. Thanks.

one reason for the rust could be the sweat on your hands. some people have a higher acidity in sweat causing the premature rusting. I've been using eezox to clean and coat the dies after use. +1 the steel wool idea. hope this helps.

one thing I have done is to use gun blue solution on steel cast / iron parts. Gun Blue is an oxidation (rusting) processing and will prevent 'regular' rust from appearing
