    Awesome update, better late then never!! :): I have a bunch of started projects here I need to finish too. I pray everything is ok with your father.

    It doesn't look bad to me. I have a wood stock I have been wanting to put on my Takedown since the first time I saw one done. How did you mount the front of the forend? Did you use the barrel band or make another kind of mount?

    I used the barrel band. To me, it did not seem stable enough without it. I'm also going to shim up the sides inside the forearm as well to provide some additional stability. I may end up glass bedding the whole forearm also, but that is a project for another day. This rifle was originally for my grandson, but his mother is anti-gun and won't even consider having it in the house. My son is in the "happy wife, happy life" camp so no help there. They live in Pennsylvania, so only see them a few times a year. It is his, when he is old enough to be on his own. Till then it will be used often.
