I had a Governor and regret selling it. I had no issues, just didn't shoot it. .45acp is a pain with moon clips. 45 long colt is expensive and .410 is not allowed by most ranges. With that said I wish I still had it.

You're right that .45 Colt is fairly expensive ammo, so that's why anyone who wants to shoot it more should be a reloader.
With cast bullets especially, reloads cost about as much or even less than surplus 9mm ammo.

    I have to laugh!!!
When I wrote a tweet about using shot shells.
I received a whole lot of flack.
I think they are a good first reaction hit followed by a defensive round.
I load shot shell and the defensive, shot shell - defensive round then all defensive.
I do this to my back up mag also.

OK, I am going to admit I don't know if you are serious or trolling. If serious, why on earth would you load shot first?

You took flak because it's an idea based on your fantasy gun fight not supported by reality. I just didn't feel like rehashing it all with you again as you've shown you're unwilling to listen to actual experience and the knowledge that comes with hundreds of shooting investigations.

Spike can you better define what you are saying. What is a good first reaction hit and what do you consider a defensive round? I think they are a good first reaction hit followed by a defensive round.

....I think most are bought for the ability to fire the 410 rounds.

Which is the exact reason why .410 shotguns were invented...and they do it better.

Hey, get any gun you want and have fun with it.

Self defense? .410 isn't in the first 20 rounds I would choose regardless of what it's fired from.

    ...and alternating ammo? Oh boy.

I like the governor. It is built awesome. But I do like the judge name better if that means anything LOL. It just sounds better like "ill be the judge of that" Cant say ill be the governor of that it does not have that nice ring. But anyways the governor is built way better in my opinion. One thing I wish mine had was rear night sights. It has the front one but cant line up **** in the dark with out the back 2.
