    i own a 1911 and love it ive shot a 5.7 and loved it as far as calibers go .45 without a doubt as far as manufactures fn , taurus are decent but i never had any luck with them. think pistols for budget minded beginners

    I shot a buddies PT1911 and it was ok. I have a fiveseven and like it a lot. Not really sure why these two are choosen for comparison but I went for the fiveseven since it is the one I carry when hiking/backpacking for high capacity and light weight. I like Taurus revolvers but don't care for their semi-autos so much after owning a PT111.

    I agree with richardraw316, this comparison makes little to no sense.

    I have fired both guns and it is like comparing using a knife to cut down a tree or a chain saw to cut steak.

    I like the .45 (not specifically a Taurus) for its punch. The Five-Seven though is so light weight and wicked accurate.

    Again, just kind of lost on what the poll is trying to gather....
