I can't see them giving it to anyone but the Turtle. He'll just change the nameplate on his door. Interesting to see that the TEA Party did not fare well in this go around, but the establishment rinos did pretty well. The TP just got pushed farther out on the fringes.

Prediction: Republicans will get blamed for everything. Republicans will be called obstructionists and racists. Republicans will not be able to pass anything because Obama knows he will not get impeached. Republicans might cave a bit on some things but not much legislation will get through. Obama will executive order everything he wants and republicans will be called racists for not going along with it. Amnesty will happen. Gun rights will be curtailed significantly. Obama has nothing to lose, he cares not for the people or his party at this point.

What Should Happen: Republicans should defund everything. If the gov't needs to be shut down, shut it down for as long as it takes, blame obama day and night for being anti american, tell the truth on everything he does. Send a repeal of obamacare every week. Impeach him the very second they take over for every single blatant violation of the law that he has committed. Make it a cornerstone of their time in washignton to get him out of office, make it a symbol that the people do not want communism no matter what. Build the biggest fence that has ever been constructed with entrances available for immigration according to LAW. Balance the budget, reduce gov't spending by 10% across the board minus border control and military. If they dont get their way, shut down the gov't minus social security and military and leave it shut down until we vote in a republican president.

Yeah, giving up and handing them "victory" is such a better option. As an aside, it's not a game if the rules don't apply to all participants equally. Or as we can see with the following....

Negative Nancy! Give some of us a day to celebrate before we get back to the status quo. We know this stuff long-term... but short-term victories are needed to keep morale up.

But here's the problem:

Republican loss = Media claiming GOP must now compromise.
Democrat loss = Media claiming GOP must now compromise.

....it's not the rules, it's the refereeing.
