There was a great quote in a movie (I forget the title) from a cantankerous old Swede about Audis (which he obviously did not like):

"Four zeros on the hood and one behind the wheel."

I was just driving on the highway behind an Audi, and this was what went through my mind. Probably always will now when I see one. Good thing I don't own one. Not sure at this point whether to thank you or not...

My problem is that I get legitimate calls from unknown numbers. I have to answer all of them... so I am on the list of lists. My best to date is seven calls in one day that were all robos.

Don't want to try and block the numbers because they are spoofing them and the real person could try and contact me sometime.

Really a pain

Blocking won’t really help to block those numbers anyway if they’re spoofed. The call isn’t originated from that number.

Can't take credit for it, but very proud of my nephew, who served as Captain of the USS Nebraska, SSBN 739, for 46 months. Just went through his COC earlier this month to turn the boat over to the new commander. On to his next assignment at the sub base in Groton, CT. OK, not funny, but at least it relates to subs, and that is about my only experience with them. I did get to tour his boat, which was cool.

Yes, I did. No conclusive answer. I think I would have been OK with it when I was younger, not entirely sure, but probably not now at my age. BTW, he got to do something very few sub commanders ever get to do -- fire a trident missile! This was a test fire just a few months ago.
