1. Apex Legends, surprise battle royale F2P game launched. Set in Titanfall world. High praise so far.
2. New studio set up by 2K.
3. New RPG coming that makes you start out as a complete nobody, aiming for ultra-realism.
4. The Outer Worlds details coming. All NPCs are fair-game.
5. Microsoft announced "Halo Experience", traveling event, museum.
6. Trailers that dropped this week: Division 2, Anthem, Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered
7. Red Dead Redemption 2 has sold 23 million worldwide (RDR1 sold 15m total)
8. Geralt of Rivia event in Monster Hunter has started.
9. Anthem dev says save files will transfer to next-gen consoles.

Activision-Blizzard has started the layoff process. In a letter to staff just now, Blizzard president J. Allen Brack informed the company of layoffs and promised "a comprehensive severance package" to those who are losing their jobs.

Our household g4m3rd00d jumped on the Apex bandwagon and is loving it. I watched some, and it looks like a more tactical/not so cartoony Fortnite, with Overwatch elements, along with some generic tactical squad shooter parts.

Looked fun, but way too confusing in terms of buttons for me.

I haven't tried it out yet. I finally got back into PUBG and really like the new map.

Nintendo Direct aired this evening... some reveals:

Super Mario Maker 2! Coming in June. Looks really cool, that'll be huge.

Final Fantasy 9 coming today, and 7 next month. Just ports.

Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening getting a 3D remake for Switch.. Looks really good.

... No Animal Crossing news.

2. Sony leadership changing.
3. Activision Blizzard lays off ~800 employees during profitable year, no major games in 2019.

5. COD Black Ops 4 lawsuit... a WWE wrestler suing over his likeness.
6. Carlton Dance Fortnight lawsuit denied in court.
7. New trailer for RE2 DLC "The Ghost Survivors"
8. Hollow Knight getting complete sequel.
9. Metro Exodus Epic Games/Steam debacle... They just put a sticker on the physical case to cover Steam logo with Epic logo.
10. Another study regarding Video Game violence and increased aggression in teens... shows absolutely no link.
11. Capcom released a bunch of game soundtracks on Spotify.
