I just got 250 bullets in, so I might as well get 'em ready to shoot this summer.

Been at least a good few weeks since I have seen any 9mm bullets available. I was lucky a couple days ago and was able to grab 1k of plated 230gr for the .45 ACP's though...

If things don't start improving soon, looks like the family and I will be only shooting centerfire this summer....

45 is pretty prevalent around here but 9mm is fairly scarce. It never occurred to me to buy the 45 and flip it to buy inflated 9mm. I have walked out of many stores emptyhanded sadly looking at the 45 bulk packs wishing I had a 1911. I will not be doing this although I believe in the free enterprise system. It occurs to me that I only believe in it to the point where I feel it would be hurting something that I love. The fear and panic buying will hurt all of us in the long run in one way or another whether you are making money now or not. I will simply continue haunting walmart or my days off hoping I get lucky and buying what I can at NORMAL prices until this **** blows over... And it will blow over.

Buy the .45 and trade it for 9mm. Then you help someone who is looking for .45 and can only find 9mm.

    I haven't seen 9mm or sale for a while.
I just sold 1k rounds for 550 + shipping on Gunbroker.
I am sure it will come down, but not sure when.

I am also not sure how people can pay that much money for 1k rounds of 9mm.

All the big time traders:rolleyes: must be busy at the 1500. Almost no one has chimed in calling those who discuss pricing "Socialists".:)

Haven't been to a 1500 in a couple years probably. But I see you still haven't listed any of your stuff at prices you want to discuss.

I'm not shy or offended or rude or name calling about anything I post. It's all up for discussion. This is a discussion forum. That IS what we do here---discuss.

Dig in a little deeper, my friend. You might just churn up a classified add or two from me...

Search/Advance search/user name bwframe/search in forums Classifieds buy sell trade here - Since the first of December, you've listed a shotgun barrel, reloading dies, a Mossberg trigger housing and a Larue flashlight mount.

Where is your guns and ammo listed at prices that you think everyone else should be charging? Oh, do as I say and not as I do.

Why should I sell anything that I don't have to sell? You are suggesting that for me to be qualified to discuss pricing, that I must be selling things?

You see a need and rather than trying to fulfill it yourself, you expect others to do it. Why should others have to sell at prices you're unwilling to sell at yourself?

Talk is cheap. Try actually doing something to increase the supply. Your moral support sure isn't increasing it.

    Thank you for the advice!
I do disagree though. The amount of threads with folks discussing pricing has increased substantially. The amount of threads started by whiners trying to justify their high pricing has done the same. So have the folks complaining of legitimate offers made for their extremely high priced offerings in the classifieds.

Folks don't fuss when they are getting their way. There is a whole lotta fussin' going on by the high priced sellers.

Seems like the people that have never had a gun or ammo are the ones paying the distorted prices and for both no matter what the price is.

Those folks shouldn't be whining either. If nobody wants to pay their price, clearly it's a price higher than the market decides is fair and they need to lower the price or shut up.

I think this is the case. Noobs like me don't have a good reference for what an AR is supposed to cost, nor what common ammo is supposed to run. $20/20 or $20/50?

Funny thing, most of the "stockpilers" are long time gun folks. They have a stockpile and aren't complaining about prices-- if anything, they are gloating a bit.

The noobs aren't complaining about prices because they don't know what cheap or expensive means for ammo.

So who's left to do the whining? Experienced gun folks who don't stockpile?:dunno:

Forget some kind of 'united front grand scheme' or whatever to "fix this."

All that's needed is patience. But that's too much to ask of some folks, I guess.
